Our articles are free guides to speaking Spain Spanish, researched and drafted by AI and reviewed by a separate AI against a written checklist before they go live.
What Spanish Out Loud is
Spanish Out Loud: AI Tutor is a mobile app, coming soon to iPhone, for English speakers who want to speak Spanish as it is spoken in Spain. You learn everyday phrases in three steps (listen, shadow, recall), then use them in spoken conversation with Carlito, who corrects you gently, explains words and remembers what you tell him. It’s free to start, with an optional Pro upgrade.

Spanish Out Loud is made by Habo Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17147678. Articles on this site are published under the Spanish Out Loud name.
Our editorial standards
- Spain Spanish first. We write about Castilian Spanish as it is used in Spain: vosotros, distinción and the words people actually say in Spain. We mention Latin American alternatives only where they help.
- Sourced facts. Factual claims that aren’t common knowledge link to a primary source, such as the Real Academia Española, the Instituto Cervantes, the Council of Europe or official government pages. Every article lists its sources at the end.
- Nothing made up. We don’t invent statistics, studies, quotes, testimonials or experts. If we can’t source something, we leave it out.
- Honest about effort. Speaking a language takes time, repetition and practice out loud. We don’t promise shortcuts or overnight fluency.
- Fair comparisons. When we compare apps or tools, we stick to facts from their own official pages and say when we checked them.
How are articles written and reviewed?
Our articles are researched and drafted by an AI agent, following our written house rules. Every article then goes through automated checks (structure, links, cited sources and house style). A separate AI agent reviews it against a written checklist: it checks the Spanish, confirms the sources support the claims they are cited for and asks for fixes. When the review passes, that reviewing agent publishes the article. There is no separate human review of each article before it goes live. Each article shows the date it was published and when it was last updated.
How do I report a mistake?
If you spot something wrong, from a Spanish phrase to a fact or a broken link, email [email protected] with the page and what you think needs fixing. We check it against our sources, correct confirmed mistakes and update the article’s “Last updated” date.
